Photographer friend: we have expanded seven days over the deadline for submission to the PHE OjodePez Award for Human Values. You now have until May 8 to send your work. Don't miss this opportunity and hurry if you don't want to stay out! Remember that the photographs have form of documentary photography in which human values such as solidarity, ethics, dedication, or justice stand out.


The jury of this edition is formed by Simon Brainbridge, editor de British Journal of Photography (England); Vincent Marcilhacy, of Aman Iman Publishing (France); Jean Marc Lacabe, Director of photo galleries Château d´Eau from Toulouse (France), and Arianna Rinaldo, director of OjodePez.


Come on! The prize consists of 2,000 euros plus the publication of the reportage in the fall issue of OjodePez, which comes out in September, and an exhibition in Fnac of Spain and Portugal stores between September 2013 and June 2014.

 

The magazine OjodePez wants to go further in its defence of the best documentary photography, and to do this it is joining forces with one of the main international photography events and launches The PHE OjodePez Award for Human Values.

Participation in the PHE OjodePez Award is open to photographers from all over the world who carry out a work of documentary photography in which human values such as solidarity, ethics, dedication, or justice stand out.

The participants must send in a minimum of 10 or a maximum of 15 images of a essay documenting. A prestigious international panel of judges will select the best portfolio, which will receive a 2,000 euros prize. In addition, the winning work will be the object of an exhibition and will be published in the issue that OjodePez devotes each fall to the award.

At the same time, the panel will select of series of finalists – no more than nine –, who will also see their work published in the fall magazine issue.

You can begin your registration now. Remember to prepare your images according to specs: 10 or a maximum of 15 photographs in JPEG. The weight of the photographs should not exceed 300 Kb and the longest side must be 700 pxs.

You will be able to enter the contest at the web of PHotoEspaña. There you will find all the information you need to register and send your work correctly. There is no entry fee.  Once the online application has been completed and the images sent, the Organization will contact you to confirm the registration; after that, all you’ll need to do is wait for the panel of judges to decide. It’s as simple as that.

The deadline for sending images is 1 May.
